Molly Payton’s new EP, Porcupine, drops on October 21^st via TMWRK Records; ‘How To Have Fun’ is about as perfect as an album teaser can get. The 19-year-old artist has made a mature, impressive and catchy critique on the idea of coolness: “I wrote it in the moment I realised I’d been wasting my time trying to impress people I didn’t actually like that much in an effort to be in-the-gang. I was only 16 when I moved to London so it took me a long time to figure that all out, but I’m so happy I did.” Payton has a brilliantly unique sound, which takes both from her New Zealand roots, London-based young-adulthood, and the influence of artists such as Big Thief and Beabadoobee.
